I'd like to apologize for not getting this up sooner, yesterday I woke up with a bad case of dehydration, nothing to the degree that I had to go to the hospital (actually, maybe I should have), but I just felt horrible all day and concentrated on drinking gallons of water and eating plenty of fibre. The meal that follows is what I prepared on Wednesday, October 15th, 2008, and basically consisted of hamburger and veggies.

I started out with some ground beef, some leftover cut up veggies, and a jar of pickles. Needless to say, we didn't have that much to work with. I started by putting the ground beef in a large bowl, adding in:
About 2 teaspoons salt
About 2 teaspoons pepper
About 2 teaspoons oregano

Everything is to taste, though. I mixed the seasoning into the beef so that it would be distributed evenly throughout the hamburgers and not just the outside. I flattened them and shaped them into patties, and placed them on a lightly oiled skillet at medium heat.

Next I worked on the veggies, I couldn't approximate measurements since they were just leftovers, but they included:
Red Bell Pepper
Orange Bell Pepper
Green Bell Pepper
Red Onion
Cherry Tomatoes

I mixed these up with two thin slices of butter and sautéed them in a frying pan until the veggies became soft and golden. Then I sectioned it off into servings.

While the hamburger and veggies cooked, I prepared a homemade dipping sauce and decorated the plate.

In the sauce I included:
6 tablespoons sour cream
6 tablespoons ketchup
1/2 teaspoon tobasco sauce
1 tablespoon horseradish
1/2 teaspoon soy sauce
A dash of oregano, salt, and pepper

Once again, it's a matter of taste :) Once I finished the sauce, I used the end of a blender (stir...thing) as a dotting tool, since we aren't professionals and don't have anything better to use. I dipped the end of the blender tool into the sauce and used that to dot the plate in a little design. Then I plated the hamburgers, veggies, and a pickle, and added a few more dots (which ended up looking kinda stupid) and voila!
